“I'm a newly certified scuba diver and my only experience has been in a dirty Arizona lake. I was a little freaked out being a newbie, but the whole experience was amazing. I was able to book the day before, it's awesome how they are diving almost every day. We did the shoreline dive, so we walked out on the beach an swam out to the drop point. I was slow and everyone was very cool and patient with me. It was a fun dive with great instructors, I'll be going again my next time in La Jolla.

“I was just in town for a few days and wanted to dive La Jolla Shore and La Jolla Cove. I had an excellent experience with La Jolla Dive. The guides, Allison and Victoria were outstanding. They knew the dive sites well and also made sure we were OK at all times. They were particularly helpful at giving us tips entering and exiting the sites which can be tricky. We even saw a shark (a sevengill )at la Jolla Cove. I highly recommend La Jolla Dive to out of town divers who are looking for a safe diving tour of La Jolla Shores/Cove.

“This little dive shop is tucked unassuming into a side street, but sometimes great things come in small packages: The rented equipment was in good shape and the sizing was spot-on even though I booked everything over the phone, and Tiffany was both a great guide at La Jolla Cove/Shores and a welcome friendly face during my time in San Diego. Chris is a good guy too and is a great conversationalist for much more than just maritime topics! I felt less like a customer here and more as just a fellow underwater enthusiast. Thanks a lot for the experience; I wish I could have stayed in SD longer!

“My son and I wanted to go diving during our stay in San Diego on vacation. We went on two dives, and the conditions were difficult (it was May, not the greatest time of year in this area). For the cove dive, the surge was 4 - 6 feet! For the wall dive, which is closer to the dive shop, the breakers were a big challenge. We aren't used to shore diving, so overcoming these conditions was a challenge. Fortunately, Victoria, our dive master, was absolutely great. I don't know how she does it but she has plenty of energy and was always looking out for us. Great Job! Thank you, Chris for having some great people on staff, who enabled us to have a memorable experience. My son and I have now done 32 dives together, and these last two in La Jolla cove were among the most memorable.

“My husband and I were looking forward to diving the kelp beds and the wall in La Jolly cove. Unfortunately, the ocean surge was too strong to dive the kelp beds on the day we were scheduled to do so. Our Divemaster, Jack, took us to an alternate site, where we were able to dive two tanks. Jack was friendly and informative and guided us through the particulars of diving in ocean surge. We saw many neon stars, sea slugs, porpoises, a sea lion, sarcastic fish, tea cup octopus and more. A good day of diving!

“Dove a few days ago in the cold waters of La Jolla Cove. My dive instructor, Tiffany, couldn't have been nicer and more patient with me. I was the only one on the dive that chilly Wed morning and we were scheduled for two dives. Tiffany was right on time, had the correct gear, was very patient and attentive both during the suit up and during the dive itself. I felt comfortable at all times. Following the dive, I needed some assistance with my dive watch, and, no problem, they were happy to do whatever they could to accommodate my needs. Great dive company. I was very happy with my experience.

“This was my first dive in CA and in the Kelp forests. Jack was a great guide and the equipment was in good shape. We had a small group and one of us was a new diver and Jack was great with her. I took a second dive with Jack in the afternoon by their "shop" (no retail, just storage and tank fillers), and we saw some great stuff. Met Chris (owner)afterwards and talked for a bit. If I had more time, I would have dove with them more. I highly recommend them. They're a small and very personable shop.
